This month the Counterfeit Kit Club is taking inspiration from the Noel Mignon Kit - Balboa.  I love this kit, because it full of lovely bright colors that have been paired with chalkboard and black for balance.

I wanted an emphasis on patterned paper this month, since I am working on my Destash Paper Challenge.  You have already seen parts of my July Kit through the last two sements of the Destash challenge.  If you would like to check out the layouts that I have made so far with the kit, take a look at Destash Paper Challenge, Throwback Thursday - Bathtime, and Destash - Scraplike Paige Evans.

This month I have tried a new way of showcasing my kit.  I created a Pinterest board with all of the items that I could find (some of the items in my kit are too old to find on Pinterest).  As well as through Scrapbook.com and A Cherry on Top, where you can still buy the items if they take your fancy.

Here's what I ended up with :

  • Bazzill - 12 x 12 Cardstock - Canvas Bling Texture - Feather Boa (2 Sheets)
  • Bazzill - 12 x 12 Cardstock - Grasscloth Texture - Navajo (2 Sheets)
  • Bazzill - 12 x 12 Cardstock - Canvas Bling Texture - String of Pearls (2 Sheets)
  • Bazzill - 12 x 12 Cardstock - Shimmer (it doesn't have a color name but its lighter than the Navajo like a sea green or a teal)

Yes, it's another huge kit (but so was the Balboa kit!) and but I am hoping to at least use up all of the paper, due to the Destash July Challenge!  And yes, most of the kit items are fairly new, but I've used most of my older 12 x 12 paper and I did not have a lot of embellishments to begin with!  No video walkthrough this month, as I'm still trying to figure out if my tablet will work to record videos (I dropped it on the 1st and busted the screen - me and technology are not agreeing lately!)  Let me know if you have any questions about my kit or my plans this month and stay tuned, because I've got lots going on this month from ICAD, One Book July, Throwback Thursday layouts, and my Destash Challenge all going on!
